About This Adventure

The village of Cloverdale is having the worst day of its collective life. Carts crash into each other. Bread burns. Pigs escape. And it's getting worse by the hour. At the center of the chaos: a leprechaun whose gold was stolen, inverting his luck into a spreading curse.

But the thief isn't what you'd expect. She's a mother who made a desperate bargain eight years ago to save her dying infant. Now the price has come due: the faerie Lord of Ill Turns wants the child himself. She stole the gold hoping to buy enough luck to run. Instead, she doomed a village.

The Luck Runs Out is a 3-4 hour adventure that starts with comedic chaos and builds to genuine stakes. Players will investigate cascading misfortune, confront impossible moral choices, and ultimately face a faerie lord who plays by rules, his own. Multiple resolution paths mean your players' choices matter, whether they find a loophole in faerie law, make a desperate counter-bargain, or fight their way through the Luck Cascade.

This adventure gives GMs everything they need: Full NPC profiles with sample dialogue, flexible encounter scaling, a unique "bad luck" mechanic that makes every scene memorable, and an emotionally resonant story that players will talk about long after the session ends.
